about

Recorded 10 January 2004 at Church of the Friendly Ghost, Austin TX

Rubble was a jam-heavy psych band active in Austin TX in the early 2000s, featuring King from the Butthole Surfers, Bobby from Baby Robots (and eventually ST37), Craig from Emperor Jones, and the mysterious Ellicott. For a few months before I escaped to California, I supplied gratuitous shredding. This is the only recorded document (to my current knowledge) of my tenure in the band.

Many thanks to Ryan, Don and Shannon for making the audio and video presentable, and thanks to King, Bobby, Craig and Ellicott for making it happen in the first place.

Check back periodically for updates to the original post, as I'm still trying to figure out the filming/ lighting credits, and the real title of track 2.

His Three Lobed 2LP Long Time Underground was selected as the number-one experimental album of 2015 by Pitchfork. ... more
